WIPs, sparkly yarn & whatnots

I thought it would be fun to give you an update on my project basket, and most importantly, what’s in it! :)

Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves, for this is going to be an image-heavy post. (all images are clickable and take you to their bigger brethren)

So this is my project basket, out on my balcony (on a hideous lawn chair… I should really get new ones). As you can see, there’s a lot of stuff in it; let’s check it out!

The first items for grabs are these balls of yarn (and a pattern sheet with yarn scraps taped to it to keep track) that I’m using to make this:

The Knitter’s Project bag by Patchworks By Debi! I mentioned sparkly yarn in the blog title…

Cool huh! :) Pink sparkly yarn, to give the bag a fabulous look, and to go with these handles:

Groovy huh! :) These handles are making this bag a true eye catcher! Oh, and this is the sparkle yarn:

But wait, there is more! There are not one, but two projects in my project basket! :)

More yarn! ;) Cotton this time, DROPS Paris, that I’m using to make a hexagon purse for a paying customer.

Notebook with the pattern, complete with yarn scraps taped to it so I don’t forget what colors to use.

And the first pile of hexagons! There’s supposed to be *two* piles, so I still have some work to do.

Not in my project basket, but still a WIP, is the Color Affection Shawl!

I’m working this on 3mm needles, with a lace yarn… I must be insane ;)

But then I look at the colors I chose, and I’m happy again! I cannot wait for this one to be finished, although I think this project is going to be one that will be around for a looong time ;) You know how, most of the time, you always have a project lying around that just never seems to be finished, but at the same time, is always there for you to help you whenever you’re bored? That’s this project ;)

And that’s all folks! I really didn’t have much to say in this post, but I just wanted to share with you what I am working on :)
