Hi everyone, thanks for popping by! :) I hope you’re having a great Sunday.
Since temperatures have dropped significantly since last week, I thought I would focus on crochet cowls. You know, those big, soft, snuggly things that keep your neck warm! :)
1. First up, this classic from the lovely Yvestown. I just love the simplicity; the colors really make this design come together and you can vary them endlessly :) Scroll down for the (quick) pattern.
2. The Purl Bee always has a good selection of patterns, and this two-color cowl is no exception. Again, you can vary with the colors yourself, although I think that using a neon color really makes it pop! :)
4. And when you’re using REALLY bulky art yarns this might just be the pattern for you. By Michele Schaich, this works up in less than an hour and the special stitch used gives it a great textured look!
5. And yes, I know this is not crochet; this is a knit item. But I love it so much, I think it justifies being put on a crochet blog list! ;) Zuzu’s Petals by Carina Spencer. Not free ($5.00 USD) but definitely worth a look. You could do this with a solid color yarn, but I think it works best with colored ombre yarn!
I just finished some orders for customers, and I have the entire Sunday to myself! I’m thinking I might venture out with my camera and take some Autumn-y snapshots…
I’ll be back later this week with a very special Halloween-themed mandala!
