my MTN

I’m a stationery geek. And I mean that I’m into things like paper & pens, not that I’m a geek that isn’t moving ;) A fellow geek (you!) blogged about her latest find and as soon as I saw it I fell in love too!

I’m talking about the Midori Traveler’s Notebook.
It’s basically a leather cover with a notebook in it, with the possibility to add more notebooks to it as you see fit.

There are web shops that sell them, but at their not-so-cheap price I ventured to Amsterdam and back to see it in person before I purchased it. And I wasn’t disappointed :)

I bought mine with the standard insert, which is a blank notebook, and I added a ruled notebook (from Midori); a checked book (which I cut to the right size; it came with a magazine); and a monthly diary (which I printed and bound myself).
I use the sketch book more as a scrap book; in it I paste cute notes from Etsy sellers, and other things I want to keep and remember.

In this notebook I write down my patterns and other crafty ideas.

I printed a calendar myself because all the monthly calendars were sold out everywhere!

And when you have four inserts, it looks something like this:

I customized my cover by adding a groovy wooden button from my stash; a charm that came with a recent yarn purchase; and an old key charm that I found lying around. Oh and I also added a brown bead to the bookmark string.
I’ve had it for a couple of weeks now and I can’t live without it. It’s the perfect combination of notebooks, calendars and scrapbooks!

The Traveler’s Notebook can be purchased here (from the UK) or here (for EU), and is available in black and brown.

Are there any other fellow stationery geeks out there? ;)
