weekly mandala – week 18: holi

weekly mandala banner

Hello! :)

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since my last weekly mandala! But don’t worry: I have made a really awesome one this week :) It’s inspired by this amazing picture of people celebrating the festival of Holi in India, sent to me by one of my readers:

The mandala:

If this isn’t colour therapy, I don’t know what is! I get happy just looking at this mandala :) I couldn’t decide on only 12 colours (like I usually do), so I decided to make this mandala using single crochet only and with 24 rounds instead of 12.

Mandala made using Drops Paris cotton yarn and a 4mm Clover hook, using a modified version of this free pattern; for this mandala I doubled the rounds to 24 and used sc’s instead of dc’s, starting with 6 instead of 12, and increasing each round accordingly.
