design wars update

It’s been a while since I found out I was the public’s choice for the new Design Wars 4 challenger, and Design Wars has definitely taken off! The schedule is really tight and I have been working my booty off creating something awesome for you guys. I got my yarn from Red Heart Yarns last week and I just love the colours! They totally work for my design. I can’t tell you quite what it is yet, but if you want to stay in the loop, be sure to sign up for the Design Wars newsletter here! That way, you’ll get to see sneak peeks of our images, interviews with me and all the other challengers, and other fun stuff like giveaways.

There’s actually a giveaway happening RIGHT NOW on the Design Wars blog :) Head on over to win one pattern from each of the challengers, including yours truly. If you’re following me on Facebook already, it’s a very easy entry!

There’s also some bigger loot to be won; for more info on this amazing prize pack sponsored by Red Heart Yarns, head on over to the Design Wars blog and read the latest newsletter, #6.

Design Wars has been getting a lot of good press lately, including an interview with Where Women Create. It’s a super fun read, with peeks into our work spaces :) I took these selfies for the piece; this is me working on the sofa in my living room :)

I can’t wait to show you all what I’ve been working on for this challenge… You’ll love it!

  7. Are those wool roving dreads you have in your hair or did you really dye it those colors? Looks really cute! :)

    • They’re wool dreads, synthetic ones :) I have a whole bunch of fancy coloured dreads, that I use whenever I feel like it. Right now I have my whole head full of dreads (again synthetic ones), in brown, copper and orange tones :) Which reminds me, I should really do a blog post about my love for dreads…
