Let me brighten up your Monday by showing you some of the new tutorials I did for Tuts+ :)
First up: a tablet sleeve! If you use self-striping yarn, this project is a breeze, with great results. Quick and easy, for all skill levels, and done in an afternoon. It could also be done in a solid colour; that way the ridged bottom part of the sleeve really stands out!
Second: a hexagon table runner. This tutorial includes the description for the hexagon. I’ve seen different blogs doing a Crochet-A-Long (CAL) for this table runner; I can’t wait to see what colours everyone is using :) This project is also suited for beginners. Make the hexagons in a day, and use another day to sew them all together. This projects stands or falls with the colour scheme you use, but could also really work in a mis-matched scheme. The sky is the limit! :)
And last but not least, rainbow nesting baskets! These puppies are super cute for kids when done in a rainbow colour scheme, but could be just as useful for yourself when done in more muted colours, and perhaps with different yarn, like cotton, to make them sturdier. Perfect storage for knick knacks like jewelry, or great for kids to learn about colours, sizes and shapes. These can be whipped up over the weekend and are suitable for all skill levels.
And there you have it! :) To access these tutorials, either click on the images in this post, go to Tuts+.com or check out my sidebar/menu, where you’ll find all the tutorials as well.
Happy hooking, and have a great week everybody!
