picots & petals mandala pattern + discount!

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Easter!

Unfortunately I was ill for all of it; I came down with a fever on Wednesday evening and it took all weekend to go away, leaving me with a sore throat and a runny nose. But I’m very happy that I’m on the mend, as being ill seriously cuts into your blogging time! ;)

I meant to do this last week, but here it is: today I’m releasing my new pattern, the Picots & Petals Mandala! :D

I designed this Picots & Petals mandala for Simply Crochet magazine last year. This PDF pattern has 9 pages and features large, clear photos with step-by-step instructions. As usual it has a Cheat Sheet at the back (for quick reading, and to print out instead of the entire pattern!).

I made it using a 4mm hook and Drops Paris cotton yarn, but you could easily substitute those for your favourite yarn & hook combination!

You can get the picots & petals mandala crochet pattern from the usual suspects: my Ravelry shop, my Etsy shop, or my Craftsy shop.

Have fun making this mandala! And for the first 10 people who purchase this pattern on Ravelry, there’s a discount code! Use code ‘mandalamadness’ upon checking out for 30% off!

Happy hooking everone :)

  3. Hi, I’ve just found your blog and registered so now can comment. I wanted to comment on the item about the Furls hook and don’t know how to find it. I bought the same pink hook as you from a facebook yarn selling site and so didn’t have to pay customs etc. I started using it and found exactly the same as you did the work was far too loose, not sure whether equivalent to a 5, wondered if it was because it was new and I was holding yarn differently. Do you find the smaller one much better? I can’t remember which one you said you would buy in its place.

I want to crochet a ripple blanket for my future grandchild so I don’t want it to be so loose like those cheap blankets you buy on market stalls.

Sorry I almost forgot to comment on your lovely circles! I don’t think I would attempt to do them, a bit difficult for me I think!

  4. Great design. Made one last night, love it!
