2014 CAL tour recap

Hi everyone!

So I was digging through last year’s photos, when it dawned on me that I hadn’t shared any of them here on my blog!

Most of you know that I did a Scheepjes CAL 2014 ‘tour’ last year, where I visited local yarn shops all over The Netherlands to give small Make & Take workshops and do meet & greets.

It was honestly the MOST fun I have EVER had! :) It was so awesome to meet all of you wonderful crocheters in real life and to see everyone working on their CAL blankets!

While I was at the yarn shops, I took a lot of crochet selfies with the workshop participants:

During the make & takes, we made a little flower pin that people could take home with them and either wear themselves, or pin on their blankets. It was so much fun to see that each flower that was made, was completely different, even though everyone used the same pattern! There were mostly women attending the workshops, but there were also a lot of children, the youngest being 5 years old! (I taught her how to make her own bracelet by showing her how to chain) There was even a brave little boy, crocheting away with the utmost concentration :) And this is what those workshops looked like:

At the end of the tour, we celebrated the release of the last pattern of the CAL at Echtstudio yarn shop, where I met some of the nicest people! One lady even made me a Lalylala doll, which I cherish so much! Here’s a short impression of the wonderful things that happened that day:

But the main reason for me enjoying this tour so much was meeting you. My readers, my fans. It was truly a wonderful experience talking to so many of you in real life!

I want to thank each and everyone of you that came out to see me last year; I can’t wait to see you all again this year!

  3. Hi, I rarely comment although I always read your blog. I had to say how much I love that little rose broach. I have tried making them in the past and they always turn out far too big for me to wear. Small and dainty is best ;0)
