drops of joy

This is the crochet pattern that I used for my cascading drops headbands. These drops are super easy to make and highly addictive too! :)

Buy now through Ravelry, only 99c! :)

(or click here to check out the pattern on Ravelry first)

You’ll receive a PDF within 24 hours of payment, containing lots of pictures and ideas for using your drops.

What you’ll need:

  • the yarn of your choice (here I used Paris Drops in various colors)
  • an appropriate hook (I chose a 5mm hook but you can use a smaller size to make the drops more sturdy)
  • scissors or clippers to cut the yarn
  • a threading needle

The terms I use are all US terms. Terms used: sl st, ch, dc, tr, dtr. (in UK terms that would be sl st, ch, tr, dtr, trtr)
You also need to know how to make a magic ring.

What are you going to make with your drops? I’d love to see! :)

  1. very easy! I’m going to make some for a baby shower decoration, I was going to use paper but now I can put my crochet touch on the shower! thanks for sharing :)

  2. I’ve been making a stack of crochet circles too this week, I do mine slightly different, I just use a regular chain & ss together. I’ve made a stack in white, I’ll then crochet a chain, attach them & voila a Xmas garland!

  3. Hi, just found this tutorial thru Pinterest! Very cute! It’s so simple, except that I don’t know how to do a treble crochet or a double, will have to look it up. But, then I will for sure do these:) I followed & hope that you pass by my blog & my fb page & like/follow! Love meeting new people who also love crafts & crochet!

  4. Thanks for the tutorial. These are so cute. Love your blog! Have a great week.

  5. Hi, I would really like to have this pattern. I would like to make water drop earrings for the ladies in my MOPS group (mother of preschoolers) since our national theme is PLUNGE. But when I click on to purchase the pattern, it just goes in the thinking mode and doesn’t do anything. Is it still available?
    thank you!
